The Barn
I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. As a child I filled sketchbooks with thousands of super-heroes, sword-wielding barbarians, and wizards. From early on, I assumed my vocation would be that of Artist.

I studied Painting and Printmaking at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, where I learned a lot about the mechanical process of painting. With a year to go, I took a month long sabbatical from college that spanned into a decade. During that time I lived all over the US, working odd jobs to draw, climb, and ski. I returned to college in the mid-90's and received an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.

With the introduction of the iPad, I have become entranced by digital art.  The ease with which one can create collage, drawings, and paintings, as well as incorporating images from the internet is hugely exciting.

Thanks for looking at my work. If you have specific questions about any of it, contact me at jim.tignor@gmail.com.

Artwork can be purchased in a variety of print sizes, various papers, framed/unframed, and even on canvas Imagekind. I have been very happy with the print and paper quality with these folks.
